Following recommendations from our core router vendor we will be upgrading the firmware on our core routers. Non-resilient customers connected directly to the affected router will lose service for up to 6 minutes while the router reboots. We apologise for any inconvenience.

This work will be completed in phases.
Phase 2 29/6 following routers will be worked on - BGP1/C4 PPP6/C6 ALB1/C1

Update - Apologies one of the routers was rebooted before traffic had fully migrated off. this caused a brief unintentional period of no connectivity.

Resolved - Power to St Catherines Hill has been restored and service was not affected by this power problem.

Investigating - Our St Catherines hill site has lost mains power and is on battery backup. SSE are aware and investigating. Currently service is unaffected however is at risk depending on length of the power cut.

Resolved - Power has been restored and most customers have reconnected, this failure was caused by an issue in the supply network, our repeater remained active during the outage and service was unaffected.

Identified - We have a power loss notification from our Bournemouth airport central node.
The site is active running on battery backup.
The power problem appears to be site wide as we have seen all customers drop offline.

Monitoring - The network is stable and traffic is at normal levels. The source of the problem has been identified, it would appear a routine configuration change caused the network to unexpectedly re-converge. We are reviewing the nature of the config change to see if this is something that should be reclassified to out of hours work.

Investigating - Our monitoring systems have detected a network convergence 5 mins ago. We are investigating the cause of this. This would have caused traffic slow down and intermittent connectivity. The network appears stable currently and traffic levels are returning to normal.
